In the late 80s Steve and Alan Whitehead discovered two East London sisters. Together, they developed them into a creditable R&B duet. When Steve and Allan felt that the girls were ready for a record deal, they took them to Supreme Records,
where they were immediately signed. This resulted in them becoming one of Stock, Aitken & Waterman’s most successful recording artists. They became known as MEL & KIM.
